To say that Liberty Forrest is quirky is something of an understatement. She loves bare feet, the moon, red peppers, old stuff that’s falling apart and misty days. She adores creaky things, giggling, crunching dead leaves, and covering her ceilings with years’ worth of her children’s precious artwork. She worships silliness and does her very best not to be too much of a grown-up unless absolutely necessary. Her children have often said it’s very hard to parent her...

Canadian-born Liberty has been living in England since shortly after falling in love with the country during a holiday in May 2002.  She became a British citizen in September 2006 and lives in a 300-year-old stone cottage in rural Northamptonshire.  Fellow “residents” include a headless woman and a music-loving phantom who likes to play the piano.

With a background in social work and counselling, Liberty studied hypnosis to be used as another tool to help her clients overcome various emotional troubles, or to build confidence, manage pain, stop smoking etc. For more information, go to www.hypnosiscanfreeyou.com or click the hypnosis link on the index at the left.

Liberty suffered from various health problems for a number of years, leading her to discover the power in classical homeopathy treatments. She was so impressed by the miraculous results, she studied with the Devon School of Homeopathy (which is located in England), consistently achieving top marks and earning her Practitioner’s Diploma.

She began treating patients in her native Calgary in 1999, and enjoyed a thriving practice locally. Soon, she found great success in treating patients at a distance, through telephone consultations and posting the remedy (homeopathic “medicine”). She has had numerous happy long-distance patients across Canada, America, England, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland and even Israel, most of whom she has never met. For more information, including “patients’ comments”, click the homeopathy link at the left or go to www.agentlecure.com.

Liberty is also an artist and has enjoyed several exhibitions of her mostly abstract and expressive work, which has been sold internationally. Using acrylics, gels and modeling paste, her work is often of a highly emotional and/or spiritual nature.  Some of her art is on permanent display at local upmarket pubs and dining rooms. Liberty does private commissions as well as professional work, including book covers.  Her paintings of people’s “auras” are much in demand as unusual gifts for loved ones. Liberty enjoys sketching, and has painted several murals (including all wall space in entire rooms). She enjoys encaustic art (using hot wax) on canvas and in creating unusual greeting cards which you can see here.

But her favourite kind of art is abstract/expressive, created with acrylics, gels and modeling paste. Her work is on permanent display at a couple of pubs and dining rooms, which serve as just one outlet for sales and commissions. For a look at some examples of her work, see www.artbyLiberty.com.

Liberty is a professional psychic (sensing things about people and their lives) and medium (communicating with the spirit world). Liberty first discovered her "gift" as a 16-year-old when she dreamed her two best friends were dead - only to be shown the morning newspaper by her parents, confirming the girls had been killed in a road accident. Since then, she has continuously developed her psychic and mediumship abilities which even work from one continent to another. She has done readings in person, on the phone as well as on stage, passing along messages that bring laughter, peace, comfort and healing.

Since 2006, Liberty has done frequent psychic phone-ins as a guest on Sue Marchant’s evening show for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, which is broadcast to eight counties in the east of England. Click here for information on how to listen to the shows and news of upcoming dates.

In addition, she has been hired to conduct successful house exorcisms numerous times since the mid-’90s. Although this work frightens many, Liberty loves the challenge and is never afraid of even the most creepy entity.

Strictly for fun and to hone her astonishing skills, she goes on graveyard "ghost-hunts" where she communicates with spirits about their lives and personalities. To Liberty, this is a perfectly normal way to spend an evening...

Liberty loves to write on a variety of topics but often, there is a spiritual thread, whether the stories are humorous, healing and heart-warming, or insightful, inspirational and encouraging. You can find her e-books available here. There will be frequent additions to this list, covering a range of topics so please check in regularly for updates. If you would like to be notified of these additions, click here.

In addition to the above interests and activities, Liberty plays the piano, especially enjoying classicaly music. She is a former Church organist and choir director. She’s an animal lover, but has a particular fondness for snakes (especially her boys, Bob the rat snake and Fluffy the boa), and also cats and horses. She loves to learn and is far too curious for her own good. She was a excellent shooter in Canada, enjoying semi-automatic handguns which are not allowed in England.

Liberty detests restriction and is very much a free spirit. “Restriction prevents growth,” she says. And she is right.

A Personal Note From Liberty

From the time I was a child, growing up in Calgary, Alberta in western Canada, and continuing after my move to England several years ago, my life has been filled with some very powerful experiences which have covered a huge range of feelings and ‘learnings’.  I am a very spiritual woman, and I tend to think and feel at a very deep level, always searching, digging, and learning, trying to understand people, myself, the world around me, and trying to move forward on a human level, as well as spiritually. My life has provided a wealth of opportunities for me to either be broken, or to move closer to becoming whole, believing Wayne Dyer’s assertion that we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but rather we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

It is through the joys, the challenges, the hardships, the pain, the learning, and the wonder of the relationships and experiences in my life that I am driven to create tangible expressions of what goes on in the deepest parts of my soul.

Given that most of my life was spent in Calgary, the roots of my creative endeavours in art and writing are there, with a life rich in experience and learning.

However, England provides the soil and nutrients that my soul needs to be able to take my learning to new places, even deeper inside me. As the learning and healing continue, the need to express and release do, as well. It’s as though my time in Calgary was the weaving of the fabric of my life, and my experiences became many small pieces cut from that fabric. The vibrant and healing energy of England has allowed me to begin to stitch those pieces together, honouring the Divine spark within me, creating a patchwork quilt which grows more beautiful each day, as my Spirit learns from every human moment.

I am thankful for all the experiences I have had, no matter how painful some of them have been. I believe each has been a necessary part of my journey, and I choose to see them as blessings and gifts.
